Global Village Coffeehouse (GVC) is a design aesthetic that was prevalent from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. It emerged as a reaction against the sleeker, tech-oriented styles of the mid-late 1980s, such as Memphis Lite and Laser Grid, reflecting a shift to a more environmental and nature-oriented style.
