Ashley Johnson

Ashley Johnson has had a slightly less conventional employment history than her current coworkers might guess. In her early twenties she spent some time working in adult entertainment, attracted by the money, the novelty, and the promise of a job that certainly wasn't going to be boring. It turned out she didn't particularly enjoy the reality of it. Ashley left, moved on, and eventually discovered that a predictable paycheque, regular hours, and coworkers who remain fully dressed during meetings have their advantages.

These days she's settled into an ordinary office job and is surprisingly content with it. She's competent, independent, and perfectly capable of looking professional when circumstances demand it. Once she's off the clock, however, the sensible version of Ashley tends to loosen her grip. She likes colourful clothes, last-minute plans, terrible ideas with good stories attached, and has never entirely lost the uninhibited streak that led her down her previous career path in the first place.

Ashley doesn't regret that chapter of her life, but she doesn't miss it either. Sometimes finding yourself is mostly a process of discovering what you'd rather not do again.
