Nyla Jones

Nyla Jones has never understood why being a nerd is supposed to require staying home. She's just as happy disappearing into a novel for an entire evening as she is going dancing, dragging friends to some peculiar local festival, or spending a Saturday dressed in armour because somebody mentioned there would be swords.

By day, Nyla has an ordinary job and a fairly ordinary life. The interesting bits happen around the edges. She's outgoing, enthusiastically curious, and remarkably easy to talk into trying something new, particularly if there's food, music, costumes, or a good story involved. Her apartment contains far too many books and at least several purchases that seemed completely reasonable while standing in an artisan market.

Nyla isn't especially concerned with fitting anybody's idea of what she's supposed to look like, enjoy, or grow out of. Life is more fun when you keep saying yes to weird little things.
