Janie Sawyer

Janie Sawyer spends her workdays in a warehouse, usually dressed for practicality rather than glamour and rarely very far from a high-vis vest. She's in her twenties, Canadian, and has the easy competence of someone who's learned that most problems can be solved by figuring out what needs to happen next and getting on with it. She's friendly without being relentlessly cheerful, and her sense of humour tends to surface at precisely the moment when everyone has had enough of whatever they're doing.

There's no grand plan behind Janie's life. Work is work, evenings and weekends belong to her, and she's still figuring out the rest as she goes. She can be playful, occasionally impulsive, and much more expressive around people she knows well than her everyday demeanour initially suggests. Janie isn't trying to be remarkable. She's simply building a life one shift, one weekend, and one questionable decision at a time.
