This LoRA recreates the costumes and scenes of the traditional “GION YAMAKASA” festival in Fukuoka City, Japan.

The Hakata Gion Yamakasa is a Shinto ritual in which portable shrines called “yamakasa” are dedicated to Kushida Shrine (Hakata, Fukuoka City), known as the guardian deity of Hakata. It has been designated as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is a festival with a very long history, dating back 700 years.

During this festival, both men and women wear traditional folk costumes. They wear a type of fundoshi called a “shime.” On their upper bodies, they wear a jacket called a “happi” as they parade through the streets. To alleviate the heat, bystanders splash water on them.

This LoRA can be used when you want to recreate traditional Japanese scenery or traditional festivals.
