RELIQUARY FX — Occult Illuminated Manuscript Art for Krea 2

Trigger word: RELIQUARYFX
Type: Style LoRA / Visual Language LoRA
Training concept: Occult illuminated manuscripts, medieval bestiaries, sacred relic art, grotesque marginalia, dark religious iconography, heraldry, celestial diagrams, and hand-painted vellum illustration.

Description

RELIQUARY FX transforms almost any subject into the visual language of a lost medieval illuminated manuscript: aged vellum, hand-painted miniature illustration, elaborate gilded borders, faded mineral pigments, religious ornament, grotesque marginalia, heraldic symbolism, relic imagery, and strange historical storytelling.

Rather than being trained simply as a “medieval demon” or “horror parchment” effect, RELIQUARY FX was built as a broader occult manuscript rendering system. Its dataset was deliberately diversified across creatures, human figures, saints, monks, rituals, architecture, heraldic animals, decorative initials, botanical ornament, celestial diagrams, reliquaries, artifact inventories, narrative scenes, landscapes, and highly elaborate full-page compositions.

The result is a LoRA capable of taking subjects that have absolutely nothing to do with medieval art and interpreting them as though an ancient scribe had witnessed and recorded them centuries ago.

A monster can become an entry from a forbidden bestiary.
An astronaut can become a mysterious traveler from the heavens.
A robot can become an impossible mechanical guardian.
A haunted attraction can become an infernal pilgrimage recorded on vellum.
A modern city can become a prophetic vision from a forgotten chronicle.

That ability to transfer the manuscript language onto new subject matter is the central purpose of RELIQUARY FX.

Visual Identity

RELIQUARY FX strongly favors the aesthetic language of historical illuminated pages while pushing it into dark fantasy and occult territory.

Expect imagery featuring aged parchment and vellum surfaces, hand-painted tempera-like rendering, gold-leaf accents, vermilion reds, lapis blues, ochres, muted greens, black ink outlines, decorative Gothic framing, elaborate corner medallions, flattened or semi-flattened medieval perspective, symbolic rather than photographic composition, floral ornament, thorned vines, sacred geometry, reliquaries, candles, heraldic emblems, celestial motifs, grotesques, demons, saints, skeletons, strange animals, and miniature narrative figures.

The LoRA is especially good at making an image feel like it belongs to an unknown historical manuscript from a fictional religious or occult tradition.

More Than a Horror LoRA

Although RELIQUARY FX has a strong dark and occult identity, it is not limited to horror.

The training set intentionally contains enough non-demonic material to encourage style transfer rather than simple subject memorization.

You can use it for:

  • medieval bestiary creatures and completely invented monsters

  • demons, infernal kings, occult saints and supernatural entities

  • monks, priests, witches, knights, kings, pilgrims and ritual figures

  • haunted attractions, scare actors, animatronics and horror environments

  • castles, monasteries, crypts, cathedrals and impossible architecture

  • reliquaries, cursed objects, weapons, keys, bells, scrolls and artifact inventories

  • heraldic animals, coats of arms, faction symbols and fictional crests

  • celestial charts, eclipses, sacred geometry and occult astronomy

  • botanical studies, cursed plants, sacred trees and strange herbarium pages

  • anatomical monster studies and fictional medieval scientific diagrams

  • fantasy worldbuilding and RPG lore illustrations

  • fictional religions, saints, relics, orders and historical chronicles

  • dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures interpreted as medieval beasts

  • cryptids and folklore creatures

  • cosmic horror and impossible celestial beings

  • science-fiction subjects such as astronauts, spacecraft, robots and alien worlds

  • modern technology interpreted through medieval visual language

  • alternate-history scenes

  • decorative manuscript borders and page frames

  • blank parchment layouts for later typography

  • album art, book covers, posters, lore pages and collectible-card artwork

Medieval Bestiary Generation

One of RELIQUARY FX's strongest applications is creating fictional bestiary pages.

It handles unusual creature anatomy especially well because medieval manuscript illustration does not depend on realistic anatomy or conventional perspective. Hybrid animals, impossible combinations and symbolic monsters feel completely natural inside the style.

For example:

RELIQUARYFX, enormous marsh beast with stag antlers, moth wings, lion paws and a serpent tail standing beside a black pond, occult illuminated bestiary page, aged vellum, decorative border and gold leaf ornament

This makes RELIQUARY FX well suited to building entire fictional monster collections, creature encyclopedias or RPG bestiaries.

Modern Subjects Reimagined as Ancient Art

A particularly useful capability is applying RELIQUARY FX to subjects that would never appear in a real medieval manuscript.

For example:

RELIQUARYFX, medieval monks attempting to depict an astronaut standing beside a lunar rover beneath a sky filled with golden stars

The LoRA can preserve recognizable modern subject matter while translating the surrounding visual language into vellum, pigment, ornament and illuminated framing.

This opens up concepts such as:

Medieval accounts of aliens.
Ancient illustrations of robots.
Illuminated manuscript dinosaurs.
Medieval depictions of modern cities.
Religious icons of impossible machinery.
Ancient chronicles of future events.

The contradiction between subject and medium is one of RELIQUARY FX's most interesting strengths.

Haunted Attraction & Horror Artwork

RELIQUARY FX also works especially well with haunted-attraction concepts.

Scare actors, haunted-house façades, cursed chapels, monster costumes, ritual rooms, animatronics, queue-line environments and attraction lore can all be interpreted as pages from a fictional medieval chronicle.

Example:

RELIQUARYFX, towering haunted attraction scare actor on stilts wearing the costume of a horned cathedral demon, frightened visitors below, illuminated occult manuscript page, aged vellum, gold ornament and grotesque marginalia

This makes the LoRA useful not only for standalone artwork but for fictional attraction lore, signage concepts, prop documents, backstory illustrations and themed promotional material.

Decorative Borders & Marginalia

The border system is an important part of RELIQUARY FX.

The LoRA can generate wide decorative frames containing combinations of:

skulls, bones, saints, eyes, serpents, roses, thorned vines, bells, candles, relics, heraldic animals, tiny demons, Gothic tracery, celestial symbols and ornamental medallions.

You can even make the border more important than the illustration itself:

RELIQUARYFX, border-dominant illuminated manuscript page, enormous decorative frame constructed from skulls, thorns, reliquary medals, serpents and tiny grotesque creatures, large corner medallions, clean blank parchment center

This is particularly useful for creating page templates, lore sheets, title cards or printable prop designs where readable text will be added afterward.

Fictional Religious & Occult Worldbuilding

RELIQUARY FX can be used to visually develop an entire fictional belief system.

You could create its saints, demons, sacred animals, religious orders, relics, temples, ceremonial objects, heraldry, manuscripts, rituals, prophecies, celestial diagrams and historical events while keeping everything within one recognizable artistic tradition.

For example, an entire series could be built around concepts such as:

The Saints of the Black Reliquary
The Infernal Hierarchy
The Forbidden Bestiary
The Book of Eclipsed Suns
The Relics of the Drowned Cathedral
The Mechanical Saints
The Pilgrims of the Hollow Star

Because everything is rendered through the same manuscript language, separate generations can feel like pages from the same fictional civilization.

Architecture & Environmental Art

RELIQUARY FX is not restricted to portraits or isolated creatures.

It performs particularly well with larger environmental compositions such as:

RELIQUARYFX, enormous underground cathedral city built around the skeleton of an ancient leviathan, monks carrying candles across bone bridges, glowing reliquary shrine beneath the ribs

This makes it useful for fantasy cities, monasteries, crypts, temples, underground civilizations, castle complexes, haunted environments and impossible architectural concepts.

The flattened narrative perspective of manuscript art can actually be an advantage here because the image can show many locations or events simultaneously instead of behaving like a conventional camera photograph.

Recommended LoRA Strength

Based on testing, RELIQUARY FX remains flexible across a fairly wide strength range.

0.60–0.80 gives a lighter manuscript influence while allowing the base model to control more of the image.

0.85–1.05 is useful when subject fidelity is more important than maximum ornamentation.

1.10–1.25 is an excellent general-purpose range.

1.30–1.40 produces the strongest showcase look and aggressively applies the RELIQUARY FX visual identity.

For the final showcase tests, 1.35 produced especially strong results, with pronounced borders, vellum treatment, historical colors and manuscript composition while still responding well to complex prompts.

Higher strengths can be useful experimentally, but may increasingly force recurring manuscript motifs such as elaborate frames, religious symmetry, occult decoration and red/gold coloration into subjects where they were not requested.

Prompting Tips

The trigger word should generally appear near the beginning:

RELIQUARYFX, [subject], [scene description]

You do not need to describe every visual trait in every prompt. At stronger LoRA strengths, the model already carries much of the visual language.

A simple test prompt can be:

RELIQUARYFX, enormous black wolf standing beneath an eclipsed moon

If you want stronger historical styling, add terminology such as:

illuminated manuscript

medieval miniature

aged vellum

gold leaf

flattened medieval perspective

hand-painted tempera

mineral pigments

decorative manuscript border

grotesque marginalia

For border-heavy work, use:

border-dominant composition

wide illuminated frame

large corner medallions

dense marginal ornament

blank central parchment panel

Readable Text

RELIQUARY FX is excellent for generating the page around text, but long AI-generated writing should not be expected to remain perfectly legible.

For titles or a few words, direct generation can be attempted.

For longer lore passages, bestiary descriptions, warning signs or fictional scripture, the recommended workflow is:

Generate the manuscript page with a clean blank parchment area → add real typography afterward.

This preserves the RELIQUARY FX appearance while giving you completely accurate spelling and readable text.

The LoRA is particularly well suited to generating illuminated initials, decorative frames and text-ready manuscript layouts.

What RELIQUARY FX Is Best At

RELIQUARY FX is strongest when you treat it as an artistic translation system rather than merely a monster generator.

Give it something familiar and it can make it ancient.

Give it something futuristic and it can make it prophetic.

Give it something horrific and it can make it sacred.

Give it something impossible and it can make it look like medieval scribes genuinely believed they saw it.
