Theme — Light & Texture

This challenge focuses on one of the core foundations of visual realism:

Light and material interaction.

If lighting feels believable and materials look tangible, almost any image can feel real.

For this bounty, the subject is secondary.

A curtain, a flower, a dusty window, a human portrait, a piece of metal, a wet stone — all of these can work. Your subject can also be solely a product of your imagination - the goal is to make it seem real.

What matters is how convincingly you render:

• light interacting with surfaces

• material textures

• depth and atmosphere

• contrast between matte, glossy, wet, rough, translucent surfaces

Images can lean toward photographic realism or cinematic realism, but the key is that the lighting and materials carry the image.
