[Content created by ChatGPT .... too lazy]
Managing dozens—or even hundreds—of LoRA models locally can get messy fast. If you're deep into experimenting with Stable Diffusion and using LoRA models from CivitAI, you've probably faced issues like scattered files, duplicates, or even models you forgot you downloaded.
I built civit-lora-download to solve that : github
[This app was vibe coded in 2 weeks using trial version of Cursor, during free time. Apologies if it is buggy, I will improve it]
This lightweight desktop tool helps you:
Organize all your LoRA models in one place
Download models directly from CivitAI
Detect duplicate models or orphaned files sitting on your hard drive
Scan and index existing models you already have
It uses a community-scraped CivitAI database (updated till May 2025), trimmed down to just LoRA models—so the interface stays snappy and relevant. You can plug in your own API token and preferred download path, and the app will take care of the rest.
A Tool Built for LoRA Enthusiasts
If you’re already deep in the ecosystem—downloading, tweaking, and organizing models—this app should feel like a natural extension of your workflow. It's not meant to replace anything, just make your LoRA model management a lot smoother.
I also plan to expand support for Hugging Face LoRAs and eventually build a sister tool for managing checkpoint models too.
