A tiny paper ghost opens the lantern and takes its candle. The owl leaves its pumpkin perch and follows; after their encounter, the ghost returns the candle and waves goodbye. This is a short story with a theft, pursuit and resolution.

Reference still: 01-pumpkin-owl.png, generated with Krea 2 Turbo BF16 + Lanternwake model-only LoRA at 0.8. Seed 42; 1440×1440; 8 steps; CFG 1; Euler ancestral / beta. All six gallery PNGs keep their native pixels and include both single-branch ComfyUI prompt metadata and Civitai generation parameters, including the LoRA hash.

Video generation: local ComfyUI H3 Accelerator, MiniMax H3 Singularity Ref2VA Pruned v1.3 INT8, LightX2V Ref2V Turbo 4-step v0.1 LoRA at 1.0. Realism People LoRA disabled to preserve the paper characters. Seed 42; 8 coarse + 3 refinement steps (11 total), Euler / beta; coffnode auto; 736×736 coarse canvas → 1248×1248 with 1.7× 3D latent upscale; reference image sizing: match. Native 24 fps, 294 frames, 12.25 seconds; H.264 video and generated AAC audio. No frame interpolation, upscaling after decode, or added motion in postproduction.

Lanternwake generates the reference image. H3 generates the motion and audio; the Lanternwake adapter is not loaded into H3. The complete six-section H3 prompt is saved in the video generation-data panel, and the original MP4 retains its ComfyUI prompt metadata.

Observed differences: the ghost carries the whole candle rather than just the flame. A brief duplicate candle/flame appears during its return around 9 seconds. The paper material, owl identity and final reconciliation remain readable.
