CGAni 40 applies the strongest anime lift before instability (alpha = 0.40) on a 3D-CG render base: a full anime look with cel-like shading on 3D proportions.
[Recipe] Add-difference merge on UNet only: Nova 3DCG XL v9.0 + 0.40 x (Nova Anime XL v19 - Nova Reality XL v9.0). VAE and text encoders are inherited from Nova 3DCG. Illustrious-family checkpoint, fp16 safetensors, no baked LoRA.
[Why this direction] Nova 3DCG gives clean 3D-CGI shading. Subtracting Nova Reality from Nova Anime yields an anime delta (linework, larger eyes, cel-like shading) that can be dialled in on top of the render base without losing its stable proportions. This is the anime counterpart of the RenderReal series, which pushes the same base toward filmic realism.
[Series] CGAni IL: 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 on the same 3D-CG base, one direction only - toward anime. Higher alphas were unstable on this delta and are intentionally not released.
[Recommended settings] Euler a, 24-28 steps, CFG 5.0-5.5, 832x1216. Hires fix above 1.25x helps linework.
[Known limitations] Anime deltas get unstable at higher weights, so this series stops at 0.40. Hands still need the usual care; two-person prompts often collapse to one subject. Illustrious-family only.
