Crono's mother (that's her name!) from the SNES RPG Chrono Trigger. As always, give me a day or two to learn the quirks and get a good sample gallery going. Oh and I tagged the other spelling because his name is the easiest thing to misspell.
We'll get to the prompts, but first listen to my Patton speech here.
Why Chrono Trigger, because its one of the greatest RPGs ever, and because its like the only one I can think of Square still refuses to remaster or rerelease as yet when feels like everything else is slated or has been. I mean we're even going to get Terranigma here before we get CT at this rate, and what are they releasing for CT? Like another keychain or something...in Japan!
I've bought Chrono Trigger 3 times (SNES, PS1, PS3), and thought of buying it again for DS but my poor old eyes can't make that kind of commitment to such a tiny screen. But rest assured, if it comes to Switch, or PS4 (I'm NOT buying a new system for a 4MB game even if its a cornerstone of my formative years), I'll buy it again.
So why Crono's Mom? Mostly because she has a fan base in the corners I haunt, and I can only think of maybe 3 CT characters that don't have loras yet. And it drums up awareness, keeps the fire going so to speak! So all goes well on this, I'll drop some more niche CT loras, this is a good starter to see how it goes.
I'm proud of you guys. No really, I am. When I first came here to civitai in July of '24, I was like, WHAT? No Chrono Trigger? Don't get me wrong, there were like 3 SD1 attempts I think, but we were already at like our millionth Chun Li lora. It was a travesty. But here we are in '26, and there's nearly every Chrono character one can reasonably conceive of, in some cases, multiple loras, and most of them are pretty well fleshed out! Makes me feel less alone in a universe that has no meaning unless I assign it some!
Well back to Crono's Mom! Like everybody else (I'd hope), I brought every character to talk to her and see what they'd say. And she's practically an RPG trope unto herself: Wake up, wake up! Good morning Crono!
This was on the new trainer, I had to get strict with samples for it to train with blue buzz. Lora was, lets see here, 30 samples, 29 of which were AI since you've only got the one official art of her. I tried to stick close to the original art style, we got some of the usual AI-isms, and I really need to start training in 2ndary characters in these, but we'll see how we did. Considering the results from auto tagger, I expect good things.
It depends on what you're doing, but I'm finding sometimes setting the sampler to Euler or even DPM (which I rarely user) helps quality. Its up to you, but I think specifying her age makes the difference too, though more prompts=more possibly jagginess. Specifying the eyebrows CAN be slightly better for accuracy (you can see where Chrono gets his), but at this point I vote you either use weights (v-shaped eyebrows:0.8) or just skip. AI defaults to the DBZ smug aggressive look thats really rough to counteract, it can be done, but man, the work. As usual, set that clip skip to 2, decreasing lora strength and complimentary style prompts help. I'm seeing alot of duplicate castles in the background, so if you want one (or don't), maybe specify like 1 castle or neg it out.
