Chloe Lang grew up in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, where the small university town gave her a window into theatre, music and dance amid the surrounding farming communities. She’s loved dancing since childhood, and still makes room for it in a little home practice space shared with shelves of household storage.

Lost in the music, Chloe is graceful, expressive and completely at ease. The rest of life takes a little more thought, often far too much. She can spend an evening dissecting a promising conversation, second-guess a perfectly natural hug, or trip over her own feet while deciding how to walk up and say hello. Her body knows what to do; sometimes her brain insists on micro-managing.

Ballet was her first love, but she’ll happily try contemporary dance, join a ceilidh, or turn cooking supper into an impromptu rehearsal. She dances because she loves how it feels, though she’s never quite learned to accept a compliment without explaining what she could have done better.

With people, she’s warm, observant and quietly funny once she settles in. Getting there can take a while, especially when she likes someone: a simple invitation for coffee might go through six drafts before she sends it. She remembers little details, shows up when it matters, and is gradually learning that she doesn’t need to rehearse every step before taking it.
