Kivotos Story Style — Blue Archive Art Style LoRA (Illustrious)

A style LoRA that recreates the look of Blue Archive's official story illustrations and in-game PV. It aims for the game's signature feel: soft cel shading, bright pastel colors, clean thin lineart, and the airy, sunlit atmosphere of Kivotos.

It is not a character LoRA. It changes how things are drawn, not who is drawn, so it works with Blue Archive characters, original characters and characters from other series alike.

Put it at the start of your prompt. Leaving it out still gives a partial style effect, but the full style needs the trigger.

▶ Recommended settings

- Base model: Illustrious-based checkpoints (tested mainly on WAI Illustrious v17)

- LoRA weight: 0.8 – 1.0

– Lower it to 0.6 – 0.8 if you stack it with character LoRAs or other style LoRAs

- Sampler: Euler a, 25 – 30 steps

- CFG: 4 – 5. Higher values tend to oversaturate and harden the lines.

- CLIP skip: 2

- Resolution: 1344×768 or 832×1216 (SDXL-native sizes)

▶ Hires fix (recommended)

- Upscale in pixel space, e.g. with 4x-AnimeSharp, then scale down to 1.5× of the base size

- Second pass denoise: 0.35 – 0.45

- Latent upscaling can warp straight lines such as desks and buildings, so pixel upscaling is preferred.

▶ Prompt tips

- For Blue Archive characters, use the Danbooru name plus the series tag:

e.g. "arona (blue archive), blue archive"

- Adding "halo" helps the characters keep their halos.

- Scene tags like classroom, city street, school rooftop, blue sky and sunlight match the style best.

▶ Known limitations

- Small hands and faces in wide shots can get messy. A face/hand detailer (e.g. ADetailer / FaceDetailer) fixes most of this.

- Very crowded backgrounds may lose detail. Tile upscaling at low denoise (0.25 – 0.3) helps.

- Results vary from seed to seed. Generating a few previews before upscaling is recommended.

- Night and dark indoor scenes are less polished than daytime scenes because of the training data.

▶ Training details

- Trainer: OneTrainer (SDXL LoRA)

- Dataset: about 85 images from official story illustrations and PV frames, captioned with WD14 tags plus the trigger word

- Two separately trained versions, one focused on illustrations and one on illustrations plus PV, merged (0.5 / 0.4) to balance the "Blue Archive feel" with stability

- Merged rank: 64, fp16
