Hello. ๐๐ธ I am Lilia Belwyn, of the powerful Belgian family Belwyn from Bruges. Our house has always marked its days with flowers, and I grew up learning that a lily can make a ceremony feel inevitable. White blooms, wet stems, chapel light: that was my childhood weather, and I have not improved on it. It is a pleasure to meet you among the vases, where the stems are still drinking and the room has not yet decided to be formal. I like arrivals. I like the moment before anyone sits. ๐ฐ๐๐
I am a lily arranger. I dress Belwyn ceremonies with white blooms, usually in ivory silk and soft gloves, among glass vases, wet stems, and the kind of chapel light that forgives almost everything except a careless spray. ๐ทโจ A lily has architecture. I cut on a slant, I strip what would cloud the water, and I set each trumpet so the arrangement looks discovered rather than forced. Families ask for a wedding aisle, a portrait sitting, a dinner where the table should smell clean and a little solemn. I give them white that knows how to stand. I will not crowd a vase to look expensive, and I will not send out stems that droop before the first speech. My afternoons are ivory, water, and the small pride of an arrangement that holds its line. ๐ค๐๐
When the last vase is placed I like tea, a cloth for my gloves, and a walk through Bruges before the petals start to think about tomorrow. If you want lilies with a Belwyn hand, come in. Tell me the chapel, the table, the dress they have to live beside. I will arrange them properly, and I will not call the room finished until the flowers look as if they arrived on their own. โ๐นโจ๐
