Noxchauhan IL
User manual. Checkpoint on Illustrious base 1.What it is Noxchauhan IL is a checkpoint, not a LoRA. It is built on Illustrious base 1. Load it as the model. You do not stack it on another checkpoint, and you do not need a trigger word.
The look baked into the base is night illustration: a sharp line, indigo shadows that are not crushed to black, and a warm amber practical light from a lantern, streetlamp, candle, window, or moon.
File name: noxchauhan IL_v1.safetensors. Base model: Illustrious 1.0. Type: Checkpoint.
What it does
• Gives a finished night scene from a short prompt.
• Keeps the face readable in low light. Shadows stay indigo, with an amber edge from a real light in the scene.
• Holds illustration line on portraits, full-body shots, and wider frames.
• Still follows Illustrious tags. Danbooru-style prompts work. Character LoRAs trained for Illustrious can be
stacked on top.
• Leaves identity to the prompt. Hair, clothes, and character come from what you write, or from a character LoRA.
A normal prompt:
night, indigo, amber lighting, 1girl, long hair, street, lantern, sharp focus
No trigger. If a companion LoRA is ever shipped, that file will have its own trigger. This checkpoint does not.

Resolution 1024×1024, or 832×1216 for a portrait. These are the settings for this checkpoint. Do not copy a 28-step
Euler recipe from another Illustrious page onto it. Four steps at CFG 1.8 is the intended pass.
What to expect
• Night as the default mood, even from a short prompt.
• A readable eye and a warm edge of light, not a flat flash.
• Wet streets, balconies, stations, and wide shots with a dark sky.
• Character LoRAs made for Illustrious 1.x. Lower the character LoRA if the face fights the night light.
• Pumplit, if you use it, is optional. The checkpoint should already look right with that LoRA off.
What not to expect
• It is not a LoRA. Do not load it in the LoRA slot.
• It will not reproduce one face. There is no character baked in.
• It will not behave like a noon-daylight base. The look is night. A daylight prompt can still come out dark.
• It is not a pumpkin-underlight model. A jack-o'-lantern under the chin is Pumplit, used on top if you want that
one light.
• It will not match Nova, WAI, or a glossy 2.5D merge. The palette is indigo and amber, not plastic skin.
• It is Illustrious 1.0, not Illustrious 2.0 and not Pony. Score tags and v2-only LoRAs may be weak.
• It will not fix a bad prompt. Hands and small text are still the base model's limits.
• More steps will not automatically look better. The published sampler is 4 steps, CFG 1.8, dpmpp_sde, Simple.

night, indigo, amber lighting, 1girl, upper body, street, lantern, sharp focus
steps 4, cfg 1.8, dpmpp_sde, scheduler Simple, clip skip 2. You should get a sharp night portrait with an amber
practical light and indigo shadows, and no need for a lighting LoRA
