A painterly style LoRA for Illustrious — built by a captain who likes his art with texture.

Welcome aboard. Corsairs Canvas is my personal take on a painterly style that doesn't sand everything smooth. I've always loved that oil-paint look — bold strokes, rich color, real weight to the image — but I never wanted to lose the details that make a piece actually feel finished. This LoRA sits right in that sweet spot: rough brushstrokes that you can feel, layered over subjects that still hold their shape and sharpness. Paint that looks like paint, details that still look like details.

She's been through a few iterations to get here, and I'm proud of where she's docked.

🧭 Recommended Settings (Chart Your Own Course)

These are the winds that got me the best results. Your mileage may vary — and I hope it does.

Generation:
Steps: 30+ (give her room to breathe)
Sampling Method: DDIM CFG++ — this is what really lets the painterly texture show its teeth
Schedule Type: Karras
CFG Scale: 6+ (I tend to push higher, but start here)

Hires. Fix:
Steps: ~15
Denoising Strength: ~0.5
Upscaler: 4xUltrasharp_4xUltrasharpV10

⚠️ Highly, HIGHLY Recommend:
Get yourself ADetailer with Face_yolov8m.pt. Seriously. It makes a world of difference for face consistency and cleanup at this style level. Consider it part of the rigging.

The settings above are my compass — not your cage. Half the fun of a LoRA is seeing what other people do with it. Crank the weight, mix it with other styles, throw it at subjects I never imagined. I want to see what you pull out of this thing. Every time someone tags me in a generation that surprises me, that's the whole point.

So take her out, raise whatever flag you want, and show me what you find on the horizon.
