Hirsute XL — Bidirectional Hair & Fur Enhancer

This LoRA adds or removes hair and fur across subjects with a smooth, gradual effect. Use it to enhance facial hair (beards, mustaches), body hair (chest, arms, legs), or animal spines/quills.

Recommended starting weight:

  • Positive: +0.25 for subtle enhancement

  • Negative: -1 for removing facial hair

Ordinary usable range:

  • Negative: -1 to 0

  • Positive: 0.25 to +1.5

Fine-control interval:

  • Use increments of 0.25 or 0.5 for precise control.

Extended or experimental range:

  • Test weights from -2 to +3 for extreme effects (not recommended for production use).

Saturation and collapse boundaries:

  • Saturation point around weight +2; beyond this, the effect becomes more extreme.

  • No collapse or prompt-overriding observed within tested range (-2 to +3).

Practical usage instructions:

  • Apply weights between 0.25 and +1.5 for natural hair/fur enhancement.

  • Use negative weights (e.g., -1) to remove hair.

  • Best results on human portraits, fantasy characters, and animals with fur.

Best-supported subjects, settings or materials:

  • Human portraiture (heads & shoulders, full body)

  • Animal portraiture (porcupines, hedgehogs)

  • Fantasy character design

Known limitations and correlated effects:

  • No significant changes in identity, anatomy, pose, camera distance, composition, clothing, color, lighting, background, or rendering style.

  • Hair/fur texture and density increase with weight.

Compatibility disclaimer:

  • Not tested for compatibility with other LoRAs or checkpoints. Use at your own risk.
