正直なところ、私個人としては本作はあまり得意ではない（嫌いな部類に入る）作品であり、テレビアニメ版も1期・2期まではなんとか視聴したものの、それ以降は追う気が起きずに途中で断念してしまいました。理由としては、主人公である木ノ下和也のクズっぽさが目立つ言動やどっちつかずな曖昧な態度、そしてメインヒロインである水原千鶴の煮え切らないスタンスにどうしても感情移入ができなかったためです。また、ストーリー展開が基本的には手を変え品を変えの繰り返しでなかなか前進しない点も肌に合わなかった大きな要因でした。 しかし、そんな作品全体のなかで「更科瑠夏」と「桜沢墨」の2名だけは、今でも非常に魅力的で大好きなキャラクターです。特に瑠夏が見せる、自分の気持ちに真っ直ぐで超積極的なアプローチの数々は非常に好感が持てました。それだけに、物語がなかなか進展しないという作品の構造上、どれだけ瑠夏が好きであってもアニメや原作をこれ以上追いかけるモチベーションが保てなかったのが少し心残りです。

とはいえ、移り変わりの激しい深夜アニメ枠において「5期」までシリーズが継続して制作されているという事実は、商業的なコンテンツとして凄まじい成功であり、その圧倒的な実績と人気の高さについては素直に高く評価されるべきだと感じています。

This is a LoRA model of Sarashina Ruka from Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu), optimized for ANIMA.

With the "One obsession Branch (Mature)," the eyes tend to become narrower, and the model attempts to add lips. If using the "One obsession Branch (Mature)," please add "large expressive" to the eye prompt (e.g., "large expressive pink eyes") and include "(lipstick,lip:1.5)" in the negative prompt.

To be completely frank, this series falls into a genre that I don't particularly enjoy. While I managed to sit through the first and second seasons of the anime, I completely lost the motivation to keep watching and dropped it after that. My primary grievance stems from my dislike of the protagonist, Kazuya Kinoshita, due to his frequently unlikable, indecisive behavior, as well as the main heroine, Chizuru Mizuhara, and her frustratingly non-committal attitude. The fact that the overarching plot relies heavily on repetitive tropes and rarely makes any meaningful progression was another major reason for my distaste. That being said, "Ruka Sarashina" and "Sumi Sakurasawa" are the two outstanding exceptions whom I genuinely still love to this day. Ruka's incredibly proactive, bold, and forward nature was always a breath of fresh air. It is a bit of a shame that because of the sluggish pacing, even my fondness for Ruka couldn't sustain my interest in following the anime or the original manga.

Nonetheless, hitting a 5th season milestone in the modern late-night anime landscape is a phenomenal commercial achievement, and I highly respect the franchise for its enduring market success.
