A chocolate fountain is a device for serving chocolate fondue. It typically consists of a base that houses a motor and a heater, and a tower with multiple tiers over which the chocolate flows. The mechanism works by heating the chocolate in the base, then using a corkscrew auger to transport the melted chocolate to the top of the fountain. Once it reaches the top, the chocolate flows down over the tiers, creating a cascading effect.
