Notes on the LoRA

I find that the broken horn isn't always consistent, or that it will create chatter where it wants the horn to be, but persistent generations tended to eventually get me what I was looking for. I completely forgot that one of the character's defining physical features were his green eyes, so I didn't train those in, but luckily that's an easy tag just to add in.

Character Overview

Baron E’Schat von Weiss is a warrior-scholar of the Minotaur peoples whose life began under prophecy and bloodshed.

Born during a storm and delivered through a fatal breech birth, E’Schat entered the world as his mother died protecting him. Before her final breath, she entrusted him to the Mooncalves—the spiritual keepers of the Forest Tribe—and commanded that he be hidden from the brutal Father of the herd.

Raised in secret among priestesses rather than warriors, E’Schat learned wisdom instead of conquest. He studied history, philosophy, stonecraft, astronomy, medicine, ancestor worship, and the sacred language of stone carvings. While other bulls were trained for dominance, E’Schat learned to listen.

For years he believed himself merely another Mooncalf.

He was wrong.

Origin Story

A prophecy foretold that a calf would arise who would lead the People through fire and blood against those who oppressed them. The child would cleanse both friend and foe alike and alter the fate of the world.

That child was E’Schat.

His mother died giving birth to him and his guardians concealed his existence from Duk'mar, the violent Father of the Forest Herd.

Growing up among the Sisters of the Moon, he developed an unusual fascination with the ancestors. His greatest mentor became the Sculptor of the Dead, who taught him how stories are preserved in stone. Under her guidance he learned that memory itself can be a weapon.

Before his exile from the valley, the Sculptor entrusted him with the legendary tools of N'abu—the First Sculptor and ancient prophet of the People:

  • A sacred granite mallet

  • A crystal chisel untouched by time

These relics became both his inheritance and his calling.

Seeking his place among the greater herd, E’Schat eventually discovered the truth of his birth.

Instead of being welcomed, he was beaten, bound, and brought before Duk'mar—the very father from whom he had been hidden. There, his guardians revealed the secret they had protected his entire life.

In punishment and humiliation, Duk'mar severed one of E’Schat's horns with heated shears. The wound became the defining scar of his life.

The broken horn transformed him from an innocent seeker into a wanderer marked by fate.

Fighting Style

E’Schat follows the path of a Kensei: a warrior who sees weapons as extensions of philosophy.

The Sculptor's Path

His most iconic style employs N'abu's sacred mallet and crystal chisel.

To E’Schat, combat resembles sculpture:

Every opponent contains a hidden shape.
Every strike removes what is unnecessary.

The mallet delivers crushing force while the chisel targets precise weaknesses in armor, posture, and spirit.

The Long Spear

When distance and discipline are required, E’Schat favors a long spear.

Its reach allows him to:

  • Control space

  • Defend allies

  • Counter larger foes

  • Fight mounted enemies

The spear reflects his philosophical nature: patience, timing, and measured action.

Hoof-and-Horn Kung Fu

When disarmed, E’Schat becomes most dangerous.

Learned from the Desert Elf princess he escaped slavery with, the style emulates the wind across open dunes: at its softest it coils sand into small whorls like drifting whippoorwills, at its fiercest it becomes a consuming sandstorm, and over time it can wear down even the tallest mountain.

His unarmed style incorporates:

  • Horn traps and joint locks, using curved force to catch and redirect incoming strikes

  • Headbutts delivered like sudden gusts, not desperation but punctuation

  • Sweeping hoof kicks that scythe low through stance and balance

  • Grappling throws derived from herd combat, all weight, leverage, and collapse points

  • Charging strikes that convert distance into impact without hesitation

  • Close wrestling techniques that smother motion and erase options

Unlike Duk’mar’s brutal dominance, E’Schat’s martial art focuses on balance, redirection, and exploiting momentum. Force is never met directly; it is guided, turned, and spent until it runs out of meaning.

His body itself becomes a weapon, shaped like wind given bone, horn, and inevitability.

Core Philosophy

The Sisters taught him:

"The milk is our ability to nurture.
The horns are our ability to harm."

E’Schat seeks a third path.

He believes true strength comes from understanding both creation and destruction.

He carves statues because memory matters.

He trains for battle because peace must be protected.

He studies philosophy because power without wisdom becomes tyranny.

And wherever he goes, the stones remember his passing.
