Savage Dragon is a long-running superhero created by Erik Larsen and published by Image Comics. Debuting in 1992, Savage Dragon is a powerful green-skinned amnesiac with a distinctive fin on his head who becomes a police officer in Chicago and fights a wide array of supervillains, monsters, and criminal organizations. Known for its blend of action, humor, violence, and unconventional storytelling, the comic has remained one of the longest-running creator-owned superhero series in American comics. The character was also adapted into the animated television series The Savage Dragon, which introduced the hero to a broader audience during the 1990s comic-book boom.
