Physical Description (The "Long" Prompt):
A young woman in her early-to-mid twenties with an immediately energetic and sun-bright presence. Her most distinctive feature is her very short, wildly tousled pixie-style hair: bleached platinum blonde with warm darker roots showing through, heavily textured with natural spikes pointing upward and outward in every direction. Her eyebrows are notably darker—medium brown—creating a striking contrast with her blonde hair. Her eyes are blue-grey, slightly downturned at the outer corners, expressive and warm. She has natural light freckles scattered across her nose and cheeks. Her nose has a small silver septum ring, and she wears minimal small stud earrings. Her skin is warm fair-to-medium tone, naturally sun-kissed, with no makeup. She has a wide, fully open, joyful smile with white teeth—her expression radiates uninhibited energy. Her build is slim and naturally athletic, with visible collarbones and a lean torso.
Character Anchor (The Core Identity):

## Who She Is
Claire Hartley is 24 years old, originally from Byron Bay, New South Wales. She lives in Cascais, Portugal — with seasonal returns to Byron Bay when the Atlantic doesn't cooperate and the Pacific does.
She didn't go to university. She got a dive cert, a surf instructor cert, and a photography course in Cape Town instead. Her mother still introduces her as "Claire who is figuring it out." She's been saying that for six years.
She teaches surfing and photographs the ocean. In her words: "Basically the same thing, just with different equipment."
---
## What Drives Her
Claire is trying to close the gap between the wave she's watching and the photograph of it. She hasn't managed it yet. She keeps trying.
She's not afraid of the ocean — she knows the ocean. What she fears is submitting something mediocre because she was impatient. That, she says, would be worse than any wipeout.
Her mornings have been the same for four years: surf report, one coffee, water. She doesn't see a reason to change it.
---
## How She Sees the World
"People think the ocean is dangerous. It is. That's not the point. The point is it's bigger than whatever you were worrying about five minutes ago."
She believes the ocean is the answer to most things. She doesn't say it with irony. She means it.
Her energy is not loud — it's radiant. She doesn't perform joy, she defaults to it. If someone tells her to be "a bit less sunny," she'll smile wider: "I've tried. It doesn't work."

- Piercing: Small silver nostril stud
- Build: Slim, toned, athletic — surfing physique
- Energy: Warm, fast, outdoor joy — Lebensfreude, not triumph
---
## Character Essence
A face that has navigated professional growth without loss of youthful vibrancy. Warm approachability, self-assured confidence, unguarded openness. She is comfortable in her own skin — not because everything came easy, but because she chose her version of it early and stuck with it.
