Welcome to my first visual style LoRA!

This LoRA was trained primarily on promotional character artworks from the Kingdom Hearts series. The original goal was to reproduce the visual style of those illustrations as accurately as possible. However, after extensive testing, I believe the final result is better described as a LoRA that captures the overall illustration style associated with Tetsuya Nomura's artwork rather than a strict recreation of Kingdom Hearts promotional art.

The main trigger word is:

"kh_characters_artwork_style"

The basic parameters I used to generate the sample images are:

  • CFG Scale: 7

  • Steps: 20

  • Sampler: DPM++ 2M

  • Base Model: WAI-Illustrious-SDXL (Illustrious)

  • Hires Upscaler: R-ESRGAN 4x

  • ADetailer: Face and hands

When using the style LoRA by itself to generate original characters from prompts, the Kingdom Hearts-inspired aesthetic is quite noticeable, as shown in the first sample images. However, when combined with character LoRAs, it tends to preserve the original appearance of the character while softening the shading, reducing contrast, and adapting the overall presentation to match the style of the training images.

As a result, it does not fully reproduce the Kingdom Hearts / Tetsuya Nomura style in every situation, but it often transforms characters into illustrations that resemble promotional character artworks, which I personally find very appealing.

Keep in mind that the final result varies significantly depending on the character LoRA being used. In my own tests with character LoRAs, I had to adjust the weights quite a bit—especially the character LoRA weight—to prevent it from overpowering the style LoRA.

In most cases, I kept the style LoRA at a weight of 1.0, while the character LoRA worked best around 0.5–0.7.

Have fun!
