Ok, well, Hero doesn't work that I can see, I'll have to keep practicing, but its a princess lora anyway, and for that it seems to work great. I used epoch 3 in this, I never go lower than 7, the later epochs showed signs of overfitting, and it trained way too fast for my liking, I'm told it would be better to set the Unet LR to 0.0001 instead of the default 0.0005. Course, Illustrious XLs look awful half the time without better prompts and it otherwise seems to work.

The princess (and also hero, but mainly the princess) from the episode The Six Who Went Far In The World, known as Roku-nin no Goketsu in Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics, aka Grimm Masterpiece Theater, or グリム名作劇場 Gurimu Meisaku Gekijō in Japan. I'll give you a brief character/episode breakdown for this one, then talk about the character/lora and prompts. If you were around in '89, '90, you maybe remember this one, you can still find most of the episodes out there on Youtube and occasionally it comes around again on Amazon Prime.

I’ll get to why princess (and hero), besides me getting locked into a collection and these being relatively low effort to me after my episode breakdown, and throw you one or two interesting factoids!

A very spoiled princess and her Pringles mascot looking father the king are singing about how much they love war and treasure, and pulling a Scrooge McDuck with all their gold and jewels and loot as any of us might do.  The Chamberlain (who’s a basic thug looking guy, but trust me, it’s the chamberlain), reports that a soldier is out front demanding his reward for fighting for the king.  This steams the king, they go out to see the soldier (Hero), who asks for what was promised, and when the king refuses, he asks to at least receive something to feed his lame and hungry horse.  The princess asks the chamberlain for HIS purse, pulls out 3 moldy coppers, and tosses them at the soldiers feet and bids him buzz off.  I’m always interested in old money calculations, this would buy you a small loaf of bread, or a half hour in a local brothel (no really!)

We cut to a rather emotional scene with the soldier having buried his horse, we get the godrays and the sense of righteous fury, its like when they shot John Wick’s dog!  No really, its pretty well done relatable I’m gonna get even motivation.  Soon the soldier, who we’ll call Hero from now on cuz that’s the characters official name, meets a goofy, freakishly big guy with super strength named Muscles (I’ll lay this out for you in a minute), convinces him he’s got the goods, and Muscles joins Hero.  We get a compressed recruitment sequence, and in short order, Hero has Muscles, Hunter, Puffer, Speedy, and Frosty in his crew.  Now you may laugh at those names, but they’re pretty straight forward, their abilities are what they say right on the tin.

I’m going to break out of this for a moment and say if you think this sounds like the Adventures of Baron Munchausen, you’re absolutely right, it does!  I also highly recommend it if you’ve never seen it.  Interestingly enough, the Japanese premier date of this episode was January of ’88, and Munchausen was December of ’88, which means this episode came first!  In general I find GFTC always goes to the source material first, that’s why the biggest difference is Frosty.  Munchausen is so much more fun, but anyways, we’ve only got twenty minutes for this episode, so moving along!

Hero and crew return, and we get exposition that the king taxes everyone down to the toenails, and not only that, they force young men to participate in a foot race with the princess, where the prize is her hand in marriage, and losing means death.  In the original fairy tale this makes a bit more sense, but all Hero has to see is the poor loser getting executed off screen to know he’s gonna put a stop to THAT happy horsecrap.

Hero challenges her to the race, with Speedy racing on his behalf (if they lose, they lose together).  The job is, it’s a long distance race to a forest pond, they gotta fill a pitcher, and come back.  Its not really lingered on, but Speedy’s got an iron or stone boot (I can’t tell) on one leg to keep him from ripping all over the place.  Speedy lets the princess get about half the way there, then zips by her like the Flash.  Chamberlain is waiting there with a bottle of drugged wine, offers it to Speedy, who drinks it and falls asleep on the way back.  Personal aside here that I’ll come back to again, Hero’s crew wasn’t recruited for their brains, but luckily King and Princess aren’t that swift themselves.

Princess grabs Speedy’s already full pitcher, hey bonus, and heads back to the finish line.  Hero and crew are getting worried, so Hunter, who has exceptional eyesight and marksmanship (It’s like Baron Munchausen) spots Speedy, wakes him up by shooting the rock he’s resting on, Speedy refills the pitcher and zips back just in front of the Princess.

Well, Princess being who she is whines to daddy and begs to not have to marry a commoner.  King, never one to pay out, offers the Six a feast, locks them in during the meal, and sets the place on fire.  Its looking Grimm (ha, get it), and then they remember that one of them is named Frosty, guess what he does?  Puts out the fire with his dandruff (I know its snow, but it looks like dandruff), and then they keep eating, which flabbergasts the king.  Muscles bashes the door down, grabs our man Pringles Mascot, and the king offers to smooth things over with money.  He says he’ll give them as much treasure as the stronger man can carry in one sack.

Now, understand this about Muscles.  He rips whole trees rights out of the ground, this is just a Tuesday for him.  They get a sack that looks like Mama June Shannon’s underpants, fill it with loot, figure this is taking too long, throw a horse drawn cart full of treasure in the sack, and then say hell with it, they throw in the whole treasury room.  King is getting antsy, he’s got riflemen watching all this, but Hero and crew are having a good time with it, they’ll stick strictly to the letter of the promise, and Muscles hefts all that, no problem.

This, needless to say, distresses king and princess, who send their army after the six, and come along because they don’t even trust their own men to not make off with the treasure.  The six find a fort, and we get a truncated sequence where Puffer earns his keep giving the kings army whats coming (again, if you want this fight, you need to watch Baron Munchausen, but again, they only have 20 minutes).

The princess has the BRILLIANT idea to burn them out of the fort, this is among other reasons why I tell ya he and his daughter aren’t too bright, because Frosty already handled this kind of thing last time.  I also say Hero’s contribution to the group besides rugged good looks is having average intelligence, he’s the Joe Bauers, because they still seem to struggle with how they should solve these issues.  Frankly, if you lose with a team like this, you deserve to lose, ya know?  They’re even named so you don’t forget what they do!

The princess and king decide to beat feet, but are caught by the Six.  We get the reveal that Hero was the soldier, and king and princess are told to walk and keeping walking.  Hero gifts the gold back to the kingdom, and refuses an offer to be king, and the Six decided to go out into the World…FAR one presumes!

Ok, so’s, Johnny, why princess (and hero)?  Cuz as I always say in all these, I like GFTC, and I always like alternate designs.  It’s also good practice for me for multiple character loras and figuring how a character who’s not conventionally attractive might turn out in one of these.  I’m not saying I’ll never do main characters, but I want to run through these first.  As I said before, this episode has a slightly simpler design than some of the others, which works for it.  It’s nice to take a break from witches and queens and stepmoms and have a character who’s super power is being stuck up and greedy.  Princess has a classic spoiled brat look, she wears possibly the most bling of any character in GFTC, and I’m not entirely sure if it’s the dress doing the work, but I think she actually has a bigger rack than Evil Queen in Six Swans!

What?  I’m not shallow, I swear!

So Princess has two looks:

-Her default look, Pink dress, necklace, earrings, crown (tiara), long brown hair, matching black eyes, freckles, earrings, pearl strings in hair, rings on each finger (they’re all different colors, like Thanos!)

-Her running outfit, Simple red dress, long brown hair in pigtails with yellow bows, matching black eyes, freckles.  She also has a red jewel ferronnière (I looked it up!), but you probably don’t have to specify that

Hero has two looks, and keyword R0kuninn0g0ketsuHer0

-His default look, Matching black Eyes, blue cape, brown tunic, dark blonde hair, belt, sword, blue tights (or breeches)

-His soldier look, Matching black eyes, helmet, armor, brown horse
