Synthwave is a visual aesthetic that acts as a modern, romanticized reimagining of the 1980s, combining retro-futurism with neon-noir nostalgia. It is heavily inspired by 1980s sci-fi movies, action film soundtracks, video game arcades, and consumer technology.
Key Visual Motifs
Neon Grids & Landscapes: Endless wireframe grids stretching toward the horizon, often in a perspective-heavy "vanishing point" style.
Striped Sunsets: Massive, low-hanging suns, often stylized with horizontal stripes or gradient fills, typically set at dusk.
