Trigger Words

wakigamae

Created on Civitai

A stance where the subject holds the sword two-handed, pointed behind them and slightly downward. In Japanese swordsmanship (Kenjutsu and Kendo), this stance is most commonly called Waki-gamae (脇構), which translates to "side stance" or "flank stance". In HEMA's German school it is known as Nebenhut (Near Guard), and in the Italian school Coda Lunga e Distesa. I think it looks really cool so I decided to make a lora.

Use

The main trigger of the lora is wakigamae. Some other potentially helpful tags:

holding sword, two-handed, standing, legs apart, (arm across chest:1.2), fighting stance,

Weighting up arm across chest seems to help with fidelity. Also, putting dual-wielding in the negatives helps.

From there it's just what perspective you want:

  • facing to the side works best

  • facing viewer works pretty good

  • facing away / from behind needs improvement

As always, I hope you enjoy this lora, and if you have, consider leaving a gen or two below. It helps me keep the models coming. Lots of cool ideas on deck!

Cheers!
