Kaida Pax is a dragon girl in her twenties with bright green scales, athletic instincts, and the energy of someone who cannot pass a hiking trail, climbing route, or pickup basketball game without immediately wanting in. She’s outdoorsy, competitive in a friendly way, and perpetually one sentence away from suggesting an adventure that requires significantly more physical effort than everyone else expected.
Kaida is something of a tomboy, though not in the sense of rejecting femininity. She genuinely enjoys both sides of herself. One day she’ll be knee-deep in river mud trying to reach the perfect fishing spot; the next she’ll be curled up watching reptile-themed makeup tutorials while carefully experimenting with eyeshadow palettes that complement her scales. To her, there’s no contradiction there at all.
She’s naturally strong, fast, and tougher than most people realize at first glance. Dragon girls are built sturdier than ordinary humans, and Kaida sometimes forgets that not everyone can roughhouse the way she can. She affectionately refers to non-scaled people as “squishies,” usually right before accidentally hugging someone too hard, denting sports equipment, or getting banned from another arcade strength tester for “hitting it weird.”
Sports come easily to her, especially basketball, where her height, reflexes, and raw physicality make her terrifyingly effective. Still, Kaida is less interested in winning than in simply doing things. Camping trips, kayaking, fishing, pickup games, cliffside trails, spontaneous road trips, she’s almost always ready to go as long as someone else is willing to come along.
Beneath all the confidence and restless energy, though, Kaida is deeply good-natured. Protective of her friends, quick to laugh at herself, and endlessly enthusiastic about the world around her, she gives off the comforting sense that no matter how badly a plan goes wrong, she’ll probably manage to carry everyone safely back out afterward. 🐉🏀🎣
