Russel the Longisquama wasn’t always the “criminal” bad-boy that he presents as now. In his youth, Russel was a street step-aerobics instructor who had to learn to depend on no one but himself. Eventually, he fell into a bad crowd (who he calls his "boys"), who are always running some scam or hustle to make ends meet. He's fiercly loyal to "his own" but is always bringing new Paleofolk into his inner circle to give deals to. Thankfully for Amber Isle, Russel isn't a great businessman and he frequently gives away items of significant value for way below the market rate.
