Start your journey at Qurikancha, a historic Inca temple located in the city of Cusco.
From Qurikancha, head southwest along Avenida Manco Capac, where you'll pass by hotels and a stadium, and you'll be on a route out of town towards Cusipata.
From Cusipata, you will need to arrange transportation to the Vinicunca trailhead.
This is because Vinicunca is located in a remote highland area.
Many travel companies in Cusco offer guided tours to Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain, and transportation from Cusco to the trailhead is often included.
