Butterbear

It's that most elusive of bears, the Butterbear. She's a Wuzzle, from the land of Wuz, Half bear, half butterfly. Or, as her model sheet states, "An irrepressible optimist with an all absorbing passion for plants and flowers."

I hope folks will appreciate the work that went into this one, because The Wuzzles has never been released commercially on home video, and is available only as a series of low-res, blurry off-air recordings. (They're up on the internet archive and on youtube if you're curious.)

And, unfortunately, as source material they ended up being practically useless.

I attempted to train a set from them, but the end result was... a bit of a mess.

So... I redrew them. Carefully tracing over the lines, sampling colors with the eyedropper, and removing the blurred figures from the backgrounds with content-aware fill, I was able to put together a collection of 36 "restored" training images.

And that's what this set was built on.

It's not the original art, it's one generation removed, but it's the best anyone's likely to get unless a better copy of the show becomes available.

And as always, use all the trigger words for best effect.
