Alessandro Barbucci is an Italian comic book artist and illustrator, born in Genoa in 1973. He began his career at the age of 18, working for Disney Italy, where he contributed to various projects, including storyboarding and animation. Barbucci is best known for co-creating the popular comic series W.I.T.C.H. and Sky Doll alongside Barbara Canepa. His work is celebrated for its vibrant and dynamic style, blending elements of fantasy and science fiction. Over the years, he has also worked on other successful series like Monster Allergy and Ekhö Monde Miroir. His artistic contributions have left a significant mark on the world of European comics.
