Vladimir Suteev (1903–1993) was a renowned Soviet children's writer, illustrator, and animator. Known as the "father of Soviet animation," he played a pivotal role in developing early Soviet cartoons. Suteev was also a talented illustrator, creating vivid and imaginative illustrations for children's books, including his own stories. His works, such as "The Chicken and the Duckling" and "The Apple", are beloved classics that continue to delight children for their simple, humorous storytelling and engaging drawings.
