the time has finally come! Summer Memempics 2026 is here!

the challenge
like last time, the goal is to create images using or portraying memes, with following categories:
individual memes
entries in this category will each be their own sub-category, with it's own winner and runner-up! there's potentially hundreds!
category rules:
any *_(meme) danbooru tag that has a wiki page. (link to full list in safebooru)
clicking the ? next to the tag takes you to the wiki. if the page says "This wiki page does not exist", it's not valid for this category
replace "safe" with "dan" in the url to get nsfw posts visible
any challenge (link to full list in safebooru) or other danbooru tag that has a wiki page with a link to knowyourmeme
please provide a link to the wiki page, or at least the name of the tag you're portraying!
any meme
this will be one shared category with single winner and a runner up, but all entries are valid for bonuses
category rules:
any meme that can somehow be validated, but doesn't have a danbooru wiki page. it can be a knowyourmeme page or something else
your own meme
this will also be one shared category, but potentially with more winners. be creative! be fun! be lighthearted!
category rules:
any image that I can accept as a meme, but doesn't fit the above two categories
general guidelines
any checkpoints and loras are allowed
max 10 entries per hunter
only images in the "Example Images" section count. I will not download sample files, and can't access bounty files (though you'll need to upload at least one of those)
one entry should only have one meme, but it can have multiple images of the same meme
both sfw and nsfw are accepted
respect the tos
judging & prizes
like stated above, there are three main categories, with potentially hundreds of sub-categories in the first one! (I sincerely hope we won't reach hundreds...)
🥇 (sub-)category winner: ⚡ 1,000 Buzz
🥈 (sub-)category runner-up: ⚡ 500 Buzz
🌟 overall favorite: the main bounty prize of ⚡ 4,000 Buzz (in addition to likely winning their specific category)
third category likely has separate judging, depending on what we get there
bonus system! I'll invent bonuses based on random things. you can see examples in the results post from last time, but they will be different this time
win by default: If you manage to find a meme no one else has submitted, and your entry meets the quality standards, you win that category by default!
important note on receiving buzz: I prefer to award Buzz directly to the images. If at all possible, please publish your generated images as a standard post on the site and link to that post in your bounty entry!
