It's been quite a ride. π’
I stumbled into the world of AI imagery back in late July 2024 β and here we are, nearly two years later. In that span of time, the landscape has shifted beneath our feet in ways that still feel surreal. From wrestling with SDXL and coaxing something decent out of a bare 1girl prompt, to watching GPT Image 2.0 drop last month and render entire aesthetics effortlessly β the sheer velocity of progress has been, at times, genuinely breathtaking. β¨
But here's the honest truth: my creative drive ran dry a long time ago. And more recently, so has my desire to share. I've generated far more images than I've ever posted β sometimes I scroll through them, and I justβ¦ don't feel the pull to put them out there anymore. That feeling used to mean something. Now it's just quiet.
So I told myself: it's time. ποΈ
π The Farewell Bounty
Before I go, I want to do one last thing β hand the torch to all of you. This bounty is a retrospective of my journey, told through your eyes.
The brief is simple:
πΌοΈ Remix one of my posted images, or let it inspire something entirely your own.
This isn't about replication. It's about what my work made you feel, think, or want to create. Go wherever that takes you. Here is the link, https://civitai.red/user/AutoPastel/images.
π One Important Rule
When you submit, please include a Civitai link to the specific image of mine that you referenced or drew inspiration from. I want to be able to trace the thread β to see which pieces resonated, and how they transformed in your hands.
π Prize Pool β 19,000 Buzz Total
π₯ 1st Place 8,000 Buzz
π₯ 2nd Place 3,000 Buzz x 2
π₯ 3rd Place 1,000 Buzz x 5
Winners will be chosen entirely by my personal taste β no rubric, no criteria beyond what moves me. That's always been how I've looked at images, and I'm not changing that now.
I'll also be tipping works that catch my eye along the way ππ« β even if they don't place.
π‘ A Note on Prompts
Most of my images were posted without prompts in the metadata β intentionally so. But don't let that stop you. These days, you can drop any image into a multimodal model and ask it to reverse-engineer a prompt. (Honestly? That's something I do all the time. π€«) So go ahead β use every tool at your disposal.
That said β if you're curious about a specific image and want the original prompt, feel free to leave a comment or DM me. π¬ I'll try my best, but no promises: some of these go far enough back that I simply can't locate them anymore, and others weren't born from a single clean prompt to begin with β a lot of my work came out of img2img, inpainting, or multi-turn back-and-forth sessions that are basically impossible to fully reconstruct.
Now go make something beautiful. πΈ
