October Update: Beware the TOS Boogeyman! 👻

Greetings, everyone!

It's that month again 👻🎃

Here's what's been going on this month with my LORAs, shop, Minimax H3, and Crucibles.

LORAs

The updates are going strong. You might have noticed I sometimes drop one a day, and other times I do more. It really depends on the dataset for each Lora, some are easier to push to a better version than others. Once I finish all the ones I have saved on my drive, I'll be going back to update the ones still missing and even giving some of the updated ones a fresh version.

Oh, and I might migrate some to Krea 2 since I've been seeing some decent results. That said, don't get your hopes up too much; Krea 2 leans more toward realism than anime, and the training costs are pretty steep. I'll be picking and choosing a few for it (some styles, characters, and outfits that would work well). If you're into this idea, let me know!

Shop

Thanks to the shop, I've been able to focus more on Lora updates and honestly, none of this would be possible without you guys. I'll always be adding something new or sticking to a theme. Since it's October, I'm rolling with a full Halloween theme: got the Eldritch set ready to go and working on a vampire-themed drop right now (badge and profile background are out, just need the avatar frame and one sticker left).

Big shoutout to everyone who buys and resells my shop cosmetics. Seriously, thank you!

Minimax H3

This model has a friendly discount generating on site running until October 23, thanks to the training event (which don't get discounts) and creation events with Crucibles. So far, I'm liking it!The model has its ups and downs, but it gets the job done.

But being real? The original price is a bit steep for what it offers, especially when you compare it to the stronger options out there like Kling and Seedance, which are personally my favorites. Grok and Veo 3 are solid too, more like my second choices. I could be wrong about Minimax though, it's still getting updated with newer versions like Max and Heygen. What really saves it is that it's open-source, meaning you can run it locally, which is awesome just like Wan is another great local option.

I'm thinking about writing a guide for video creation with it, like I did for Grok. Maybe next month or whenever I get more comfortable with the model.

Crucibles

This is a pretty cool concept, having the community vote on the winner. I really like that idea. Right now, bounties are the best way to make things fun since the Challenges didn't really take off. It's still in testing on the site, but it's not bad at all actually. It's got me curious about creating one myself down the road. Maybe even a No Nut November themed one? If you're into that idea, I'd love to hear your feedback.

That's All (For Now)

Not sure if I covered everything, but that's about it. Hope you all have a spooky month, and watch out for that TOS violation boogeyman. Stay safe!
