FMatania watercolor painting from 1899 shows an elevated view on the town of Genoa, Italy in a day of soft, diffuse light. In the foreground to the right is a terraced house with a red tile roof, partially obscured by the foliage of trees. The landscape opens up to reveal the rooftops of Genoa in the left foreground. These buildings have red tile roofs, and are interspersed with a few white buildings and what appears to be a church steeple to the left of center. Beyond the buildings is a port with many docked ships and an elongated, large building that appears like a warehouse. In the far background is a thin, red lighthouse standing on the end of a pier, at the entrance to the port. The sky is filled with pale clouds, providing the source for the diffuse lighting of the painting.<lora:FMatania1-000006:1>
