LAS, Lost Ancient Scriptorium, a vast subterranean ancient library built inside a high vaulted cavern hall of roughly carved dark stone. In the foreground, a broad central floor of cracked stone slabs leads deep into the chamber, bordered on both sides by irregular stacks of books and manuscripts. Massive rectangular stone pillars rise along the left and right sides, supporting the great arched ceiling vault. Between and behind the pillars, dense multi-level wooden bookshelves cover both longitudinal walls, packed with aged books, scrolls, and stacked manuscripts. Heavy wooden writing tables stand on both sides of the foreground and middle ground, covered with books and candles, while additional book piles spread across the floor and around the bases of the pillars. The central passage remains open and continues toward the distant, dim background. At the upper center, an irregular opening breaks through the rocky ceiling, sending a powerful vertical shaft of daylight onto the central floor. Candles and small flames positioned along the walls, pillars, and tables cast warm orange illumination across the brown timber and rough stone surfaces.
