This miniature painting depicts an Indian ruler riding a powerful horse through a dense forest during a royal hunt. Dressed in a patterned hunting coat and a decorated turban, he holds a bow while several attendants follow on horseback. Deer run between slender trees, birds fly above the forest canopy, and a rocky stream winds through the landscape.
