This miniature painting depicts a group of Indian court musicians performing in an elegant palace chamber. A woman in a green and gold outfit plays the sitar while another musician accompanies her on the tabla. A singer sits nearby with closed eyes, immersed in the music. Decorative cushions, patterned carpets, painted columns, and hanging lamps fill the royal interior.
