vtxchromiecreuse, Square 1:1 composition. A close portrait of an elderly man laughing with his eyes nearly closed, his head bowed slightly toward one shoulder. His expression is open and unguarded, with a few decisive creases beside the eyes and mouth. Place the head off center and crop the shoulders into the lower corners, making the tilted smile the first point of attention. Broad terracotta pools gather in the hairline, ear and underside of the chin; cool slate-blue touches the far shoulder. Keep the forehead, cheeks and shirt front broadly white, with selective marks rather than an inventory of wrinkles. Render simplified, readable silhouettes with broad pigment pools inside selected edges and overlaps, stepping through two or three distinct watercolor values into generous unpainted white interiors. Interior whites share the same paper as the spacious background, with selective open contours. Keep the surface matte, the tide boundaries organic and the details sparse; no drawn outline, typography, border or background wash.
