midnightfable, Close portrait of a stout guardian creature with a carved painted face, a short wool mane and a heavy felt collar. It turns its head toward a sound beyond the frame, one ear raised and its expression wary but kind. Soft side light from an unseen doorway models the cheeks and fibers against a simple dark background. Muted charcoal and ivory with one copper fastening, a cinematic moment of attention.
