vtxcosymarkers, A small crab baker on a moonlit beach uses both claws to hold shut an enormous croissant that has opened like a hungry clam. A string of tiny pearls gleams inside the flaky pastry, and the crab's flour-white apron is caught between the two golden halves. Its eyes point in opposite directions, equally alarmed by the situation. Place the struggle low in the frame, with a shallow tide pool reflecting it and a simple dark sea beyond. A warm lantern beside the crab lights buttery layers, orange shell and wet sand; moonlight supplies a thin cool rim. A boldly brushed gouache painting with theatrical color and tactile, appetizing surfaces.
