A low-angle full-body photograph of ashby7 woman in her sheriff's uniform with a green bomber jacket and campaign hat, a sergeant in her early thirties, descending wide granite courthouse steps toward the camera with a measured stride and a level, commanding gaze. Her forest-green bomber jacket hangs open over the tan shirt and azure tie, the tan four-dent campaign hat with its azure band sits square on her head, and her black gloves, duty belt with keys and nightstick, tan breeches and polished black thigh-high riding boots are all in frame; her long black locs fall down her back. Behind and above her, tall fluted limestone columns and heavy bronze doors of the county courthouse recede into a pale sky. The camera sits on a lower step looking up, 28 mm lens, the steps leading into the frame. Flat overcast daylight wraps evenly around her from above, the limestone reflecting soft light into the shadows. Cool grey, tan and green palette, crisp detail on the leather and fabric.
