dutchtilt, the picture is tilted strongly clockwise, about twenty-six degrees, so the horizon runs from the upper left down to the lower right and the verticals lean to the right, an illustration of a starfighter cockpit, seen from behind and above the pilot's right shoulder, straight canopy struts framing a blue planet horizon and streaking stars, square switches and screens across the panel, red warning lights blazing. A Turkish man of 36 in a grey flight suit and white helmet sits strapped in, his right hand gripping the flight stick and his left hand pushing the throttle lever. Scale: the panel is level with his chest. Depth: the seat back hides his lower back. Red light washes his shoulders.
