A highly detailed oil painting with aggressive brushstrokes and impasto effects that create an impressionist work depicting a walk in the woods. A couple walks on a winding trail through a birch forest in autumn on a rainy day. The man wears a hooded grey jacket and faded jeans with hiking boots. They grey hood is up and his hair and head are obscured. The woman wears a grey wool miniskirt over black leggings and a light blue poncho with white wool hat over her blonde hair. They are seen in rear view as they meander on the winding dirt path that cuts through birch forest and appears to terminate in misty clouds ahead. the work is dreamy and gentle yet highly impressionistic. the man's hands are in his coat pockets and the woman has linked her arm through the man's providing a connection between the couple and a sense of intimacy that centers the work within the vastness of nature.
