A huge field of sunflowers in full bloom stretching to the horizon in the late afternoon, under a dramatic sky of heavy indigo and charcoal storm clouds. Through a single break in the clouds a broad beam of sunlight falls diagonally onto the middle of the field, so that one band of sunflowers blazes in brilliant yellow and orange while the rest of the field lies in dark olive shadow. The wind is picking up and bends the tall stems. A narrow dirt road runs through the field toward a small red farmhouse and a wooden windmill in the distance, and a flock of black birds rises from the field into the stormy sky.
