2D cartoon illustration with bold black outlines, flat colours and a dusky western palette of brown, purple and orange. Low angle from the sand, full body. There are only two figures in the scene. In a hot desert, madkmb, a slim man with a long oval face, heavy-lidded sleepy eyes under thick dark eyebrows, a long straight nose, a thin dark mustache with curled-up ends and a small pointed dark goatee on his chin, is buried in the sand up to his neck, only his head showing. On his head is a white turban. He looks up with calm, wise half-lidded eyes, and a speech bubble with its tail pointing at him reads "ВОСТОК — ДЕЛО ТОНКОЕ." Standing over him on the right is beskmb, a broad-shouldered, heavily built man whose face below the eyes is always covered by a black cloth mask printed with a pale grey skull jaw and a row of long skull teeth, so that only a strip of skin, his eyes and his thick angular dark eyebrows show. Here the print is a stylized grey jaw of long vertical teeth arranged in arches, and on his head is a pointed faded khaki army cap with a red star. He wears a faded khaki army tunic with a belt and puttees, a rifle on his shoulder and a teapot in his hand, looking down at the head with open, puzzled eyes. Only the man in the sand has a mustache and goatee, and only the standing man wears a mask. Background: endless orange dunes, an old fortress on the shore of a purple sea. Light: low dusky sun with long purple shadows.
