Dusk on a dark heather moor. A 31-year-old woman ranger with a long auburn braid, in a grey-green hooded travelling cloak with the hood down, a longbow on her back, walks away down a long stony road toward misty mountains, seen from behind at three-quarters. A small lit lantern hangs from her right hand, her left hand holds the bow strap. The evening star shines in a deep blue sky. Lord of the Rings book illustration, pencil and watercolour, soft graphite lines, muted moss green, slate grey, heather and ochre washes, realistic proportions, highly detailed, epic.
