Candid, wide-angle 28mm snapshot taken with direct on-camera flash in a crowded underground subway tiled corridor after midnight. A slender young woman leans back against the white glazed subway tiles, laughing uncontrollably with her head tipped back against the wall. Her raven-black hair is styled in two long, loose braids that have started to unravel, messy tendrils whipping freely around her ears and shoulders. Her eyes are light sky-blue, squeezed completely shut into joyful, crinkled crescents with deep laugh lines fanning at the corners; her mouth is open, showing both rows of teeth, head shaking in sheer disbelief. Her cheeks are flushed bright coral, with smooth, clear skin across her cheeks, forehead, and jawline. She wears an oversized vintage hunter-green nylon track jacket with white chevron stripes zipped to the mid-chest, black bike shorts, and scuffed white sneakers. The direct flash bounces brutally off the slick white tile behind her, carving short, hard drop-shadows and picking out the moisture on her lips, while the fluorescent tube tunnel extends into blurred aqua-green perspective. The palette is hunter green, tile white, fluorescent aqua, and vivid coral. The mood is euphoric, careless, and thoroughly exhausted by laughter.
