illustration artwork A trench coated detective stands motionless in a rain drowned alley between two crumbling towers, head tilted back to stare at a perfectly black sphere hovering in the gap of sky above him. The edges of the sphere burn with a thin ring of rainbow fire that paints the wet walls in magenta and cyan streaks. His coat is dark and glossy with rain, a half melted holographic badge flickers on the lapel, and his face is hidden under the brim of a hat and the glow of a visor that throws a single horizontal red line across the dark. Puddles at his feet mirror the sphere in broken pieces, steam rises from a grate behind him, and high on a rooftop at the edge of the frame, a tiny figure with a halo of light watches the sphere too. Slightly low angle, tall vertical composition, heavy shadow. The palette is black, rain blue, hot magenta and cyan, with a tense and noir atmosphere.
